Nursery School<\/span><\/h1>\n

The basic principles guiding the Nursery School are the following:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Children are full of abilities, passion and creative thinking. They discover the world through their senses and interaction.<\/li>\n
  2. The educator is co-organizer and facilitates the child\u2019s learning. He\/she participates, cooperates with the pupil, facilitates, plans activities, makes questions, so that the child can immerse itself into the learning experiences.<\/li>\n
  3. A multi-dimensional environment, rich in materials, through beautiful, organized spaces, where everything aims at helping children learn.<\/li>\n
  4. Children are encouraged to express how they perceive the world around them through different symbolic languages, such as painting, sculpture, theatre play, dance, movement, mathematics and language.<\/li>\n
  5. The parents are considered partners of their children and the participation of parents is necessary for the different aspects of the educational program.<\/li>\n
  6. The educators become children watchers and, as they work with them, record and collect data like photos, notes, video and conversations. In this way, they pose questions that enhance their children\u2019s way of thinking and encourage their creativity.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The Littles Nursery School is for children of pre-school age from 2.5 \u2013 4 years.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

    Pre-kindergarten \u2013 Kindergarten<\/span><\/h1>\n

    Pre-kindergarten and Kindergarten are the first organized learning environment. The aim of the educational program is to contribute to the students\u2019 all-round development, by individualizing the needs and personal rhythm of each child. Based on the experiential learning principle, children approach knowledge in a cross-curricular and not fragmented way, so that whatever they experience during their daily school life has meaning for them and they can connect it with real life.<\/p>\n

    Two-year study is the transitional stage of students towards Primary School.<\/p>\n

      \n
    • They cultivate their critical thinking<\/li>\n
    • They acquire an active stance towards learning<\/li>\n
    • They learn how to be active members of a group with respect for their fellow students and the people surrounding them<\/li>\n
    • They form a positive attitude towards Arts and Sports<\/li>\n
    • They cultivate an environmental conscience<\/li>\n
    • They cultivate their creative thinking and also their critical thinking with the purpose to solve problems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      The Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs are governed by the following principles:<\/p>\n

      • Pre-school education forms the foundation for the all-round development of children and their subsequent attitude towards learning<\/li>\n
      • The formation of a healthy personality is one of the key targets of pre-school education<\/li>\n
      • Knowledge is built through interaction with the natural and social environment<\/li>\n
      • Play is considered the principal activity for children\u2019s development and learning in Kindergarten<\/li>\n
      • Cooperation with the family and the community is necessary for the enhancing of children\u2019s development and learning<\/li>\n
      • Children are naturally curious about the natural and social environment. The aim of the pre-kindergarten and Kindergarten program is to strengthen the child\u2019s disposition for exploration and learning.<\/li>\n
      • The educator\u2019s role is decisive for the organization of the learning environment and the design of the educational process. Its aim is the balance among the actions with concrete learning goals which he sets himself, depending on the needs of his class.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
